2023 Ferrari Purosangue “SUV”

Sepetember 13, 2022 at 3:30pm PST.

Naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine, code named F140IA. Creates 715hp and 528lb-ft of torque. 0-60 in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 193mph. One of the quickest “SUVs” ever.. Need I say more?

How about suicide doors? Is this the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan? No, this is the 2023, long awaited, Ferrari Purosangue! It has a dual-clutch transmission with AWD, aka 4-wheels of steering in a Ferrari. Tons of aero riddle this vehicle.

This 4-door, 4-seater, sports car (as Ferrari dubs it,) is the ultimate hatchback I have been craving and the reason I started my hatchback journey with the 2022 Honda Civic Sport Touring. To eventually build to this.

Ferrari Purosangue will start at $400k, due to its exclusivity. Sales of the “SUV” will not surpass 20% total annual volume. More than a Lamborghini Urus or Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT can say from their respective manufacturers. Also, there are no fake vents / air intakes like the Urus, which is always a plus with this caliber of MSRP. I cannot wait to see the ADM and secondary Ferrari Purosangue markup that will be lunar. Below are just a few of the confirmed stats and options with the car.

  • My favorite part of the Ferrari Purosangue is the self-closing, suicide doors!
  • Options including massaging front seats.
  • Can opt for the electrochromic glass roof instead of the weight saving all carbon-fiber standard one. It is electronically tinted glass like that on the Porsche Taycan.
  • Standard adaptive suspension.
  • Rear seats are bucket seats.
  • No anti-roll bars because an electric motor applies force to the dampeners in each corner of the car to control body roll. Simultaneously, the car can lower by up to 0.4 inches via Ferrari’s new Side Slip Control “SCC” technology.
  • The front axle lift can raise the Purosangue by up to 1.2 inches at speeds below 50 mph.
  • Most of the car controls are positioned on the steering wheel. I will let you imagine how much this wheel will cost, as the basic Ferrari wheel has an astounding worth.
  • Regarding tech, there is no infotainment system notably, but a 10.2 inch digital gauge cluster accompanying another 10.2 inch screen for the passenger will unquestionably satisfy.
  • Broad 22 inch rims in the front and 23 inch in the back give it quite a stance.
  • Headlights are fully functioning air intakes.
  • The “SUV” offers the same warranty as Lamborghini, but provides a leg up with 7-years free complimentary scheduled maintenance! My Honda Civic did not even attempt such.
  • 85% of the car trim is sustainably sourced.
  • 49:51% weight distribution.
  • Ferrari notes the rear window does not need a wiper as air directed over the glass keeps it clean. (Tons of aero indeed!)

Although the sides and rear of the Purosangue resemble that of a Ford Mach-E, this is certainly a home run for Ferrari with the market.
